STUDENTS' BENEFITS
ONLINE - March 2, 2007
The e-Gov Project together with
Ministry of Education and Science is developing and implementing
software application for online submission of student requests for
lodging at the state owned dormitories and scholarships and student
loans. The software application covers the automatic processing
of the requests, their evaluation and granting. Starting from this
year the process of application will be fully automated and no requests
submitted in hard copy will be accepted.

SECURITY AUDIT OF E-TAX - February 2, 2007
The e-Gov Project invites all Auditing companies
registered in Macedonia or USA, performing IT security audits, to
submit their proposals for IT security audit of the e-Tax system.
The system is administrated by the Public revenue office of Republic
of Macedonia and it is part of the services provided by the Office
for large tax payers.

requested documentation.
After reviewing and evaluating all

PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS
FOR AND ISSUING OF CEMT LICENSES
The USAID e-Gov Project together
with the Ministry of Transport and Communication will design and
implement a software application for electronic issuance of international
transport licenses CEMT.
This software application will provide
a simple and modern way for the transport companies to apply online
for CEMT licenses, as well as automated data processing and issuing
of the licenses in a way which effectively will prevent any possibilities
for corrupt behaviour and thus radically increase the trust in the
process...more.
Deadline for submitting bids was 13 October, 2006 at 15:00 local
time. 12 bids were received.
After reviewing and evaluating all
12 bids, e-Gov Project decided to sign the contract with NextSense.

E-LEARNING
COURSES FOR THE CIVIL SERVANTS AGENCY
The e-Gov Project and the Civil
Servants Agency will develop and introduce e-Learning courses which
will be used for the benefits of the civil servants as well as for
candidates interested in working as civil servants.
The e-Gov Project invited bids regarding
the development of two separate e-Learning courses. The courses
shall follow the specifications in the tender documentation which
can be downloaded under Documents.

2006
IT SECURITY AUDIT OF THE E-PROCUREMENT
SYSTEM
e-Government Project invited all
Auditing Companies registered in USA or Macedonia to submit their
proposals for IT security audit of the e-Procurement system.
Contract was signed with Company
for Audit, Consulting and Tax Services DELOITTE dooel Skopje
on 6th September 2006.

INFORMATION
ON E-HEALTH TENDER
The USAID
e-Gov Project signed Contract for development of e-Health software
application to support the Ministry of Health to monitor the consumption
of drugs in the Republic of Macedonia. The Contract was signed with
software developer SEMOS, as leading partner of the consortia SEMOS-
ULTRA DOO- CODEX Computers.
Deevelopment of the software was
finished succesfully on time, as well as the training of the key
users of the system. Promotional event
was held on 28 August, 2006 at Daut Pasha Amam, Skopje. It is expected
the system to be launched by the end of August, 2006.
e-BUDGETING,
June 2006
The e-Gov Project
and the Ministry of Finance are designing and creating an e-Budgeting
software application to be used for the preparation of the budget
for the Republic of Macedonia. The application shall facilitate
the preparation of the budget and will improve the dialogue between
the Ministry and the budget users and funds. It will also improve
the possibilities for analysis, planning and revision of the Budget.
The e-Gov Project signed contract
with Pexim for the development of the software. Prototype
was delivered according to the time table on 17 July, 2006.
Presentation of the first two modules was
held on 27 September 2006, in the premises of e-Gov Project, for
the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and e-Gov Project.
e-SESSION, January
2006
With reference to the
tender launched on 9th January 2006, regarding development of an e-Session
application, art 10.1, the third paragraph, in the Invitation to Bid,
the e-Gov Project has decided not to select any contractor.
e-TAX SERVICES,
October 2005
USAID e-Gov project and SEAVUS, a Macedonian
software developer, signed a contract on developing an e-Tax
Services application on Friday, October 14th 2005.
The system was developed for the Public Revenue Office (PRO)
and is planned initially to be used by the 130 biggest tax payers.
So far 90 of the large tax payers are registered into the system
and submit their tax returns on line.
This application is a typical example on how administrative burdens
will be significantly reduced both for the private users, the taxpayers
and the state administration, the PRO. The processing of this enormous
amount of data will be speeded up and above all be done in a secure
way human beings are hardly able to match.
e-Tax services will help stimulating
the economy in Macedonia as well as ensure the transparent and efficient
collection of taxes.
APPLY-ON-LINE,
October 2005
e-Gov project selected NextSense
for development of software for an on-line job application.
The system was developed within the estimated time frame. Testing
was finished successfully, training of system users completed as
well as educating the public on the subject.
The CD with the source code was delivered on Friday, 28 October
2005. IMPACT passed it on to the Civil Servant Agency. more....
On 16th of December 2005, the Apply-On-Line system was launced,
the first job announcement was published through the system. By
the 31st December 2005 14 job announcements were published and by
11th January 2006 502 out of 619 applications were
received on-line!! Figures prove that 74% of the applicants
used the Apply-On-Line system which is a proof of successfully implementation
of the same.

e-PROCUREMENT, September
2005
The system was developed within the estimated time frame. The CD
with the source code was delivered on 16 September 2005, as planned.
Developer, consortia between Infinite Solutions & SEAVUS,
met all the requirements and met all the deadlines.
e-Gov project is working on further development and update of the
system for the new Contracting Authorities.
The first public opening of tenders using the e-procurement system
was held on 17 May, 2006 at the Municipality of Veles and City of
Skopje...more
