TENDER - e-TAX
SERVICES, October 2005
USAID e-Gov project and SEAVUS, a Macedonian
software developer, signed a contract on developing an e-Tax
Services application on Friday, October 14th 2005.
The system was developed for the Public Revenue Office (PRO)
and is planned initially to be used by the 130 biggest tax payers.
So far 90 of the large tax payers are registered into the system
and submit their tax returns on line.
This application is a typical example on how administrative burdens
will be significantly reduced both for the private users, the taxpayers
and the state administration, the PRO. The processing of this enormous
amount of data will be speeded up and above all be done in a secure
way human beings are hardly able to match.
e-Tax services will help stimulating
the economy in Macedonia as well as ensure the transparent and efficient
collection of taxes.
